Stairs -- The stairs from the main area to the loft, and the stairs to the lower bedroom are steeper/taller than you might be accustomed to. All stairs have handrails, and are no issue for most people, but they might prove to be uncomfortable for those with limited mobility. Wildlife -- a cabin in the woods, surrounded by nature. It’s beautiful, but we want to draw attention to some of your “neighbors”. Given that we’re so remote, you might see more critters than you’d find in a more urban setting. Don’t be shocked if you come across the Asian Stink Bug, moths, bats, mice, even racoons, turkeys & deer. While we have taken measures to keep as many of these critters on the outside of the house, we could use your help. - Please keep doors closed when not in use, especially at night. - Please don’t leave food or trash outside - If you have any issues that need addressing, please reach out and we’ll do our best to resolve it ASAP The River -- The river can be unpredictable even when it looks calm on the surface. Also, the ground near the river can be quite unstable. Please do not allow children to wander near the river or creeks without adult supervision. If you choose to access the river or riverbanks, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK and acknowledge the risks of doing so. Since the property is on the cut-bar side of the bow in the river, debris such as logs and branches will often be washed on land and left in the event of flooding. These deposits are also unstable. Please be extra careful when on or around them. To the maximum extent permitted under applicable law, by accessing the river or any surrounding area from or in connection with your use of the property, you knowingly, voluntarily and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown, whether or not expressly stated, of such access, and you assume full responsibility for any damage, bodily injury or other loss arising out of or resulting from such access.
